There is a God... and He loves YOU!!!

This was a very interesting week! GOD has done amazing things.

Our garage sale was very successful, which will help fund the Ministry for awhile. Through that garage sale, GOD opened up a door and gave us the opportunity to share about Him to so many people... including the local JW's who happened to stumble into our yard as they passed by. We also met a couple from a neighboring church, who would like to donate items to sell at our next yard sale, which will happen in about a month or so.

GOD the Father, has also given us friends in Pacific Beach to assist with helping however they can. I've said it before and I'll say it again... I love the fact that GOD can use anyone to be a helping hand with us. Our job, as The Body, is to be faithful and fully submit to what GOD is doing because He will work out the details. Again... I met a man named Andre, tonight (I think from Russia), who was a passer-byer, and inquired about getting involved next week. The Lord gives us discernment and I see no problem allowing this guy to help pass out some clothes, because I trust that GOD will show Himself through the love in action that surrounds him.

GOD gave me people to pray with tonight. People with all sorts of struggles and pains. Together we cried out to The Father asking for His strength to get each person through their circumstance. Casting your burdens at the feet of Jesus is a wonderful thing to do.... and not everyone has the ability to do it, due to self pride or fear of the unknown outcome. But knowing the Word of GOD, and hearing all of His promises for those who put their 'trust' in Him can bring comfort to those who Believe.

One young 26 year old woman, who I will call "A", found herself in our line. She is not currently homeless, but might be in a few days... she has until 2/10/11 to move out. We sat and spoke for almost an hour. "A" is very, very broken. She is new to San Diego (as a student for EMT school) and literally has nobody to turn to. As she explained her situation, fully in tears, I couldn't help but want to comfort her with a warm hug... but I held back (I don't know why I hesitated). She needs to know that GOD wants to be her Comforter. She shared her religious background with me, and I shared with her the Relationship in Jesus Christ that brings Freedom, Peace & Joy. "A" accepted a new Bible and the Gospel of John. My heart is so heavy for her!! My prayer is that GOD would use The Body to meet her needs, to reveal how much He loves her... and that will draw her to Him.

Tonight's message was about The Bread of Life. My prayer for this group that we feed on a weekly basis, would be that each person as an individual would make a decision to feast from The Bread of Life, where they will no longer hunger and drink from the Fountain of Living Water, where they will no longer thirst. GOD put it on my heart this week to tell everyone down there, that GOD keeps His promises... one day Jesus will be coming back and it won't be pretty for those that reject Him.

All of us that make "Loving The Neighbor" what it is, are prayerfully being guided by GOD Himself and realize things are but seasons. None of us know how long we will be in this area showing His love to the Homeless community of Pacific Beach, which is why it's so important to not only show & tell about His love, but to tell the Truth like it is... and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal personal conviction of sin.

GOD is good all the time, and all the time GOD is good.
Amen!
